Look! In that kid’s hand! It’s a popsicle! It’s a cake! No, it’s a cake-sicle!
OK, I’ll admit it. This product review is a bit off topic for this website.
But the Norpro Nonstick Cake Sicle Pan is such a great idea that I couldn’t resist.
Besides, there are obvious connections…
After all, it is a cake-sicle pan. And you make the cake-sicles with popsicle sticks. So…close enough!
Here’s how it works:
You whip up a batch of brownie or cake batter, or cookie dough, and then fill each individual mold of the cake-sicle pan with the dough or batter. Put a popsicle stick in each mold (the cake-sicle pan comes with 25 popsicle sticks), and then pop the cake-sicle pan into the oven.
After it comes out of the oven, let it cool, and then each individual cake-on-a-stick (or cookie-on-a-stick) will come right out of the mold. You can frost and serve them individually.
You can even frost them on all sides, and keep them separate and upright by poking the popsicle sticks into something rigid such as a Styrofoam block. And the decorating possibilities are endless. Prettify the cake-sicles with sprinkles, candies, coconut – whatever you can dream up!
These cake-sicles are bound to go over big at your kid’s next party or sleepover!
